Do I need rain gear?
We have a full heated indoor cabin that you can enjoy if it rains but we do recommend bringing a waterproof jacket also.

How many people will be on-board?
We are licensed to hold 96 passengers on board.

Will there be seals and dolphins?
Yes there are always seals at Howth Harbour and sometimes in Dun Laoghaire Harbour. Often a pod of dolphins will surprise us during our cruises.

How much is the fare?
Standard fare is €25 per person but this varies depending on which route you choose.

Can we just arrive and hop on?
If the vessel is not fully booked you can purchase a ticket at the boat but we strongly advise booking online in advance to avoid disappointment.

How far in advance of the sailing should we arrive at the departure point?
We advise arriving 30 min prior to departure time.

Will there be a staff member there to meet me?
Our crew will be there to welcome you on board.

Where do we meet the boat?
The vessel docks at the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire (just before the band stand), the West Pier in Howth (outside Aqua restaurant) and at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in the City Centre (outside the Ferryman Pub).

How much is a return ticket?
If you have paid full price for the first leg i.e. Dun Laoghaire to Howth and would like to return from Howth back to Dun Laoghaire we offer a reduced return fare of €10 per person.

Is it wheelchair accessible?
Our vessel is currently not wheelchair accessible but we often help wheelchair users with limited mobility on to the vessel..

Is there seating on board?
Yes, there is seating for 96 persons on board.

Are life jackets provided for me and kids?
Yes, life jackets will be provided in emergency situations.

Do we have to wear life jackets all the time?
No, however life jackets are available for all passengers in case of emergency.

What type of weather would result in a sailing cancellation?
Force 7/8 easterly winds may result in a cancellation and we will notify you in advance of your sailing.

Will I get sea sick?
As the seas around Dublin Bay are usually quite calm in the summer months it is unusual for passengers to feel sick however it does depend on the person and whether you are prone to travel sickness.

How long does a trip take?
The cruise duration depends on the route. Please see the individual cruise options for duration times.

How much is the Dart back?
If you have a Dublin Bay Cruises booking confirmation email on your phone, you can show this at the DART station and they will issue you a DART ticket for the reduced fare of €2.
